Meet Your Therapist

Hello my name is Deborah, founder of New Leaf Private Practice Therapy.

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my website. I know that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and you may be feeling anxious or uncertain about where to begin. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.

I am a qualified counsellor with experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, low self-esteem and other emotional challenges. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside other therapeutic approaches, tailoring each session to your individual needs. I beleive that no twon people are the same, so our work together will always reflect what is most helpful for you.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and non-judgemental. I understand that everyone has their own story, and I will work at your pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you`re facing a recent difficulty or have been carrying emotional pain for many years, we can work together to help you understand your experiences, build resillence and move towards positive change.

Outside of my work, I value spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors and looking after my own well-being. I believe it`s important to practise the same self-care that I encourage in my clients.
